Don't bears like honey?

While most North Americans believe that it is a cardinal sin to move within a paw-swipe of a black bear, while bear researchers believe it is wrong to study bears by feeding them, US biologist Lynn Rogers broke the rules and his controversial method of studying bears by bribing them with food, winning their trust and getting close to them have helped him learn much more about bears than in previous years when he adopted the more conventional methods of scientific detachment. He was able to develop a close relationship with a mother bear and her three cubs in the forests of northern Minnesota and discover that many things people believe about bears are wrong, including that they are violent, they are aggressive when they swat their paws on the ground, they like honey, berries and nuts, etc.
